Because of the outpouring of kindness that we receive each year……..

 we are able to spread the word about teen suicide awareness through our community events and through the scholarships given to the teen applicants. We don’t and cannot exist without help from people like you who consider a teens life important enough to make an investment in them.  Teens  unfortunately don’t have a powerful voice in their community and sadly at times even in their own home. We need to get teens to understand that they do matter even if life at home or with their friends may seem hopeless or depressing. It is through donations from wonderful people like you that gives us a chance to get that across to them.

We are not muddled in our thinking either that we can save every teen from thinking or performing self inflicted harm or death. We know that there are too many factors and too many perceived and real pressures in our teenagers lives to think we can get to them all in time, before they think there is only one way out……before it’s too late.

We know it is possible however at a commuity level to make a difference….together we can make a difference. BUT it takes work and unfortunately it takes money. You know it’s not about the tax deduction, but it’s nice to know that it is there if you and your accountant choose to use it. You know its about these kids and you know its about not having the parents learn too late that the signs were not seen in time and the dreadful phone call comes in or devastating discovery of their child who has made a terrible unthinkable decision.
